I wasn't going to blog any more but here I am like a bad penny!

I had to tell about a givaway I was lucky enough to win!! Compliments of Mandycharlie from http://myknittingandallotmentblog.blogspot.com/

I knit a bit but I've never knit socks but would love to try so I entered the givaway for some sock yarn and when I opened the package I was amazed at the things that were in the package!! I didn't think to take pictures before I opened them but have taken them now
and will show them to you.

This is the sock yarn and I've never had any yarn as lovely as this!! I wouldn't have a clue what to buy if I'd tried so having this is a real treat!!
Next is some lovely hand cream which I shall cherish! I use hand cream all the time as I'm sure most people do. Even my hubby uses it on his construction callused hands.
This is a very interesting booklet about Kenilworth with some lovely old pictures from the past. Just the thing we like to read. Very interesting!!

This book is fascinating as well, I've not seen any thing like it at all!! It is a little historic and a lot about food. All different types of food and where they come from. Also some great recipes!!

Some pretty notepaper and the most WONDERFUL bar of chocolate which will never see the light of day again!! I'm sorry I ate it before I could take pictures! It was dark, with orange and spices and I've never seen anything like it before but I will be looking for it!

Thank you again Mandy, for everything!!!

Edited to add I had completely forgotten about the vanilla scented candles also included in the package!! They were so sweetly scented and I shall enjoy them once winter comes again and I light candles when the sun goes down.

Waddya mean not blog anymore...if you quit, I'm gonna go over there and smarten you up! hehe Oh, what a lovely giveaway you won and look at all those wonderful items she included with the yarn. Isn't it so much nicer getting such a package in the mail instead of the usual bills? lol I'm like you, if there's chocolate in a package, it's gone before I take pictures:-) I'm so glad you were the winner of this giveaway, you deserve it!! xoxo

Lucky you! What a lot of nice gifts to enjoy. That chocolate sounds sinfully delicious!! Orange and spice and dark chocolate..yum yum!!

Ha - like someone else said "now you have no excuse not to start knitting". LOL!
You must take pics of your socks once they're done.

Thank you for your kind comments and loving support for David and me. It's a tough road, made easier by good blogging buddies like yourself.
Hugs

Congratulations on the big win. My wife just got a whole carload. I kid you not of a yarns, needles, books, do-dads, and things that I never saw before. A lady died and her daughter gave all the stuff away. It fills up a lot of boxes and those fill up the back seat and floor of the car. My wife and daughter just left to go see my wife's mother who knits and took the whole shootin-match along for her.

What a lovely giveaway. I never learned to knit but just love hand-made items and love looking at all the pretty yarn available now. All of your pretties are great but I bet that chocolate was sinfully good! I often get discouraged with blogging too, but I really miss dear friends when I stay away. I hope you'll blog again soon = maybe with photos of your knitted socks!

Wow. You gonna made something special?

My wife, Patty, got a carload of free knitting yarn, needles and books the other day. Someone had a mother who knitted, bought all this stuff and then died. They gave it all way. Patty got a car load and gave half of it to her mother.
