I am posting pictures because I can't get out to shop which is what I should be doing today!!
Waiting on the plough!

Outside our bedroom window.

Outside kitchen windows.
Front door.
Recycling bin.

Kitchen windows inside
Dining room windows

And lastly, the deck door from the inside when we opened it this morning.
The dogs have to be shoved out to pee! It's so windy, the windchill was -30 last night.

So lovely!!! You live in a winter wonderland! I love your home, it looks so cozy and inviting. It reminds me of a Currier and Ives print. We haven't had snow, just brutal winds and cold. It's very dry, the wheat needs moisture in the worst way. Ahhhh...the US central Great Plains. Dust in the wind...

Hard to imagine that much snow! Oh Harriet would be buried in it!
I hope Millie's cough is getting better. Thank you for the pictures!

I want to be at your place! We are very cold and windy but no snow. My daughters got some though and the grands have called to tell me all about it. Stay warm and enjoy the beauty and peace

It looks like that around here too and you're right, the wind is bitterly cold. I had to go out this afternoon once the snowplows had passed and just about froze my fingers when putting gas in the car...and I had gloves on! lol It's stopped snowing now but the wind is making the snow drift all over the place, we barely were able to open the door this morning!! Loved your pictures, we have to admit that the snow sure is pretty:-) Keep warm! xoxo

that's extreme snow footage! I don't envy you for sure! I have always hated snow, even just a tiny bit...but it can be beautiful if photographed right....i sure hope you can get out of there soon after the plow helps clear a path for you! stay warm!!!

Good Gosh... I had better quit complaining about our 6 or so inches and almost zero degrees here.... You really have the snow up there, Jenny...

I love snow and enjoy watching it --but this horribly cold weather is very hard to take... We're just not used to it...

I've never lived anywhere where there is THAT much snow. Don't know what I'd do.

Beautiful pictures... Please be SAFE and WARM.
Hugs,
Betsy

Brrrrh! It makes me feel so cold just looking at it. It is lovely to look at but a nuisance when you have things to do outside. Here we have temperatures around zero with bright sunshine so I think we could have the better deal. Thank you for sharing your lovely pictures, they are just great.

That's a lot of snow! My kids would love it.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope you enjoy the powder. This way is so much cheaper and just as nice as the kind you pay an arm and leg for! ;)

Oh oh ~ not fun ~ not fun at all! Hate the snow! Yesterday afternoon we had freezing rain all afternoon and the highways were shut down all around us. I am NOT looking forward to driving to work this morning. :(

Keep warm!

Hi Amelia!

Thank you so much for the sweet comment on my blog! It looks like you are really socked in for the winter! I live in Idaho, and a few weeks ago, we looked the same way - it has been raining here, and our beautiful snow is almost gone, but not for long, hopefully! Good luck, hope things get better for you!

Ten grandchildren - you are a lucky woman indeed! I have seven, soon I will have nine - my sweet daughter and daughter-in-law are both expecting within a month of each other!

Averi, my third grand is eight years old. She is blind, but a huge blessing in our lives, as she teaches me on a daily basis; about patience and perseverance.

Thanks again for your comment!

Stay warm!

Now that really is winter weather. I hope the situation has eased so that you can get out for what you need to have a very happy Christmas. Keep warm and safe.

I think you got more snow than we did even though we are only a few miles away.

I am writing this December 25. Merry Christmas. I am waiting to hear the Queen's message on the radio. Hearing her is a family tradition. My mother was an enthusiastic Monarchist. All the best in the the New Year.

Oh my, that's a lot of snow. We haven't had nearly that much yet but winter has a long way to go. Hope you are dug out by now.

Hi Amelia,
Thanks for your continued support on my blog.
Your last comment "you should have been a writer" was so nice to hear! I am a writer. I have a book coming out in July and am working on another one. That " Christmas present" post was actually an excerpt from my book in progress (I just didn't tell anyone!)
Thanks again for your kind complements.
Hope it's not too snowy where you are.
Hugs
