Thanks to everyone for the support. I have stuck to my guns and have remained with no contact and it's getting a little easier!

On a much happier note, I have had my kids here for a few days, they are gone now but the happiness in my soul remains..

Here are a few pics from their visit
Everyone eating snowcream that Holly made. They all wanted food colouring! Me at the end in my pink nightie!!! Not a sight anyone needs to be subjected to.!! My hubby standing next to me and our son on the other side of the table!

Jesse making a snowball in the middle of the lake..
Ethan had a friend up with him and they were trying to take daddy down! I don't think they made it.
Olivia waiting to be driven home! She's not too keen on the cold and it was very cold that day.
Still building his snowball.
Abigail in my bed. She came in every morning for a snuggle and to get warm and I could stay there all day cuddling her.
Bathtime.
Abigail and Charlie, vying for space in the chair.
Last two pics are taken at the Big Nickel mine or Dynamic Earth as they call it now. It will always be the Big Nickel to us and I suspect to Pea as well!!

What sweet photos. Abigail has the longest eye lashes! They each are just adorable and look like they had so much fun. I bet your dogs miss all the attention from the little ones too! Don't think I've ever seen a snow ball as big as the one Jesse is working on. I know you miss them terribly. Thanks for sharing the pictures of your little joy makers.

May you always have
Walls for the winds,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your heart might desire!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, dear Amelia:-)

Good for you for sticking to your guns about your mother, I know it's hard but it's in your best interest. Loved seeing the pictures of when your son and family came to visit. Looks like everyone had such a fun time:-) Would you believe I've never tasted snow cream? I know how it's made but I've just never tried it! Lord knows there was enough snow out there for it. lol

It's pouring rain here right now with thunder and lightning. That will get rid of some of that snow. xoxo

Thank you for the update, that it's getting easier!!!!!!! Even if/when something comes along, to try to set you back, on your decision, I hope you will weather it and keep going.

Lovely family time, like you picture, is a great incentive. Concentrate on doing life, the way you choose to. Enjoy such things. Keep them close to your heart. And hopefully, heal from the past.

Gentle hugs..

just come back from New Zealand after been with my children for almost 2 months....I know exactly how you are feeling...Wish I could have them by my side all the time too.
as for your relationship with your mum,try to be a bit more compassionate with her as God knows what made her into what she is now.Maybe she is just as hungry for love as you are...If the relationship is hurtful, just don't get too close, but by all means be forgiving of her,she is old and lonely, and you are all that she have now.She does have a psychological problem, poor woman.

Hi Amelia, I just wanted to thank you for your comment on my blog post Harsh Realities. I still get mail for David and that's o.k. I'm used to that. It's the odd phone call that's so unexpected.

Well the geese seem to find food and shelter even though our lakes are frozen - I love hearing the geese come back. Can't wait for the warmer weather.

Hi Amelia, I did not realize I commented 2x on you last post. I thought I did on this one. Sorry. I would like to tell you any card I do that speaks to you please feel free to take a copy. I will also create one just for you. I need to get to now you better. Because the images are not the people I create them for. They are just images I am able to paint while thinking about them.
I am so glad to know you are doing better. I am in your corner cheering you on. Because I know you will be whole and complete in time. It took me 50 years. I am now at say 80 percent. But I am learning each day. Self healing is what I am working on.
